FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What can I use the sample models for?
The sample models are free for personal and commercial use with credit mentioned on any social media. This includes R&D projects or the development of a commercial project like a game, promo video or animation. However, we do not allow resale or free distribution on other websites, either of the original or any derivatives from the model. Please let us know if you are still determining whether you can use our samples in your project; we will be happy to assist you.
Do you have any other samples?
Yes, we do! We can provide you with a custom sample based on your specifications. Just email us through the contact form, and we will get back to you.
Can I use the sample scans in Unreal or Unity?
Yes, you can. In our sample selection, we have provided different versions of models that you might find helpful. For real-time applications, using any 3d Human model with retopology is best to keep the polycount low. Therefore, we have provided full-body, head, hand and clothing models with retopology.
Can I use the sample scans for commercial projects?
Yes, you can. Our models come free to use for commercial and personal projects. If you have any questions regarding permitted use, please let us know.
What is the resolution of the scans?
All of our full body and facial scans come with 16k texture and decimated at 5 mil resolution. All hands scans are with 8k texture and 5 mil resolution.
For generating higher or lower resolution, we recommend using the Reality Capture file and Imges that are provided with the model.
What file formats are included?
On our scans you will find the following files: OBJ mesh at 5 mil, 8/16k PNG texure, Reality Capture File, Photos with Masks and Metadata files.
